Valerie Schleppi
holds B.A. Summa Cum Laude Degree in Piano Performance
and Teaching from Moscow College of Music, Russia, and
M.F.A. Cum Laude Degree in Vocal Performance and Teaching
from Gnessin Academy of Music, Moscow, Russia. Studied
Philosophy with Prof. Patricia Allen and Acting with
Prof. Lau Lapides in Boston, MA.
Being an active singer Valerie appeared in various
opera productions and concerts internationally and locally
in Boston Conservatory, Longy School of Music and Jordan
Hall of New England Conservatory to name a few. |
She is a member of critically acclaimed chamber music group
“Nigun”, exploring traditions of Jewish music.
Mrs. Schleppi worked as Piano accompanist for Walnut Hill
School for the Performing Arts, Boston Conservatory and Boston
Ballet, Boston, MA.
Valerie has been teaching Piano for over 15 years, specializing
in Traditional Piano, Theory and Improvisation. In Voice teaching
Valerie focuses on Vocal Training in Classical and Musical
Theater styles.
Many of Valerie’s students have chosen to continue musical
education on college level.
She worked as a Music Director and Vocal Coach of Theater
Extension at Walnut Hill School for the Performing Arts and
Weston Drama Workshop, Weston, MA, creating a full length
Musical Productions, working with soloists, chorus and orchestra
musicians. Conducting Credits include Bye Bye Birdie, Honk!,
Wizard of Oz and numerous Musical Revues.
Formerly member of faculty of European Piano School and Boston
Ballet School, directing Musical Theater “Singing Broadway”
Program, working with children 8-18 years old.
Currently Valerie is serving Unitarian Universalists Society
of Wellesley Hills as the Director of Music Program, being
an Organist and Choir Director.
Mother of two, Valerie co-founded DIVAMUSIC School, providing
piano, violin and voice lessons at home. She also maintains
her private piano and voice studio in Wayland, MA.

Dina Shakarova started her
Musical education at the age of six in the city of Kiev, Ukraine.
Her formal education through the Kiev School of Music included
the full spectrum of musical knowledge: intensive Piano studies,
Theory and History of Music, Singing in chorus and Composition.
Dina successfully earned Bachelor’s Degree in Piano
Performance and Teaching from Acclaimed Glier College of Music,
Kiev, Ukraine and continued her education in Kiev Academy
of Pedagogy, specializing in Teaching Piano and general Music
|
Her teaching experience engaged working in
various Early Childhood Institutions developing her own methods
to build up and widen the little peoples’ musical horizons.
Dina has composed and published a variety of songs the other
instructors are using now in their teaching routine.
Mrs. Shakarova has worked in Musical Schools in Kiev, Ukraine,
Baltimore, MD, and Boston, MA as a Piano Teacher and an Accompanist.
Dina has been teaching Piano for over 15 years and enjoys
all aspects of this process. As one of her students states
in her article: ”Ms. Shakarova possesses a wonderful
combination of skill, as a result of her study in Russia,
and kindness that makes her extremely well suited to teach
piano to everyone”.
Dina is a co-founder of DIVAMUSIC School, providing piano,
violin and voice lessons at home. In addition, she conducts
her own Piano Studio in Ashland, MA where she lives with her
beloved husband and daughter.
